Radha Chitta

Radha Chitta is a research scientist in the fields of AI, ML, Data Mining and Pattern Recognition. Radha has worked on several interesting and challenging problems in the areas of image processing, text mining, and natural language processing, in health and legal technology domains. She truly believes that a good use of AI will allow humans to collectively realize their true potential, by not having to worry about routine mundane tasks. Radha completed her Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science in PES Institute of Technology in Bangalore under Visveswaraiah Technological University (Belgaum, India) and a master’s degree in the System Science and Automation group in the Electrical Engineering Department of the Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore, India). She then worked as a Systems Engineer for Yahoo! in Bangalore from 2008–2010.

Radha obtained her PhD from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in Michigan State University (MI, USA) and then worked at Xerox (CT, USA) as a Research Scientist, where she was involved in developing intelligent techniques to predict the risk of patients developing chronic diseases such as diabetes. Following this, she worked at Kira Systems (Toronto, Canada), where she applied NLP and ML techniques to different problems. Radha currently works at Zuva in Toronto, as an ML Research Scientist. She focusses on applying deep learning and natural language processing techniques for contract analysis.
